Since Monday February 12, the Togolese capital has been hosting a meeting dedicated to resource management in the field of security in West Africa. The event is organized by the Center for Strategic Studies in Africa (CESA), an agency of the U.S. Department of Defense. It brings together officials in charge of security issues in West African countries.

Over the course of four days, the stakeholders will reflect on the strategies to be implemented to better combat terrorism in the sub-region and preserve social peace.

The center aims to provide participants with platforms for exchanging views on priorities and best practices in resource management.

As a reminder, in Togo, several mechanisms are in place to preserve security and combat terrorism. These include the adoption of a national strategy to combat violent extremism and the creation of an inter-ministerial committee to prevent and combat violent extremism (CIPLEV).
