On Friday April 19, 2024, the National Assembly elected Meyisso Kwame as the 9th and final member to be elected by Parliament.
Kwame Meyisso, previously President of the Audit Office of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA), replaces the court's former president, Aboudou Assouma, who passed away a year ago.
Henceforth, the Court will be able to focus in particular on the resolution of any electoral disputes, as well as on the other missions assigned to it. Members are appointed for a term of six (06) years, renewable once only.
