In Lomé on May 6 and 7, some forty licensed customs agents took part in an intensive training course on trade facilitation mechanisms within the framework of the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
Organized by the Ministry of Trade with the support of the German Cooperation and the European Union through the ProComp program, this session was aimed at reinforcing the mastery of customs procedures linked to intra-African trade.
Participants deepened their knowledge of rules of origin, commercial documents, tariff concessions and the use of codes specific to the ZLECAf. This initiative supports the pan-African objective of building a common market of over 1.3 billion consumers.
