Highly committed to education, sexual and reproductive health, youth empowerment, peace and security, young Burkinabè leader Annick BADO flew the flag for Burkina-Faso at the Love World Crusade Ground in Lagos, Nigeria on December 31 at the Future Africa Leaders AWards Winner 2023.
She was honored as one of the top 10 young leaders at the Future Africa Leaders AWards 2023, chaired by the former President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Olusegun Obasandjo.
Organized by the Foundation of Future African Leaders (FALF), whose founding president is the Rev Dr Chris Oyakhilome Dsc Dsc DD, the official ceremony was attended by prominent African personalities such as Dr Joyce Banda, former president of Malawi, and the Hon Jemma Nunu Kumba of South Sudan, who all gave inspiring speeches on building the Africa of tomorrow, moving the lines and pulling the continent upwards.

The Future Africa Leaders Foundation(FALF) aims to explore and expand Africa's leadership potential, identifying, celebrating and supporting young Africans who have demonstrated exemplary leadership in the fields of education, agriculture, technology, humanitarianism, entrepreneurship and youth mentoring.
Every year since 2013, the foundation selects, highlights and offers $10,000 in support to 10 young people from 10 African countries to promote their actions that contribute to Africa's development.

Trained as a civil engineer and entrepreneur, Annick Carine Bado is dedicated to the education of orphans, donating supplies, and working in favor of women's rights, engaging in empowerment programs for girl mothers, the fight against Gender-Based Violence (GBV), adolescent sexual and reproductive health, as well as peace and security issues through the International Forum of African Youth in Ouagadougou (FIJAO) in Burkina and Guinea Conakry.
For this 11th edition, Burkina Faso is proudly represented by Annick Carine Bado among the ten winners from ten African countries, including Lesotho, South Sudan, Chad, Ghana, Uganda, Togo, Sierra Leone, Liberia and Morocco. These official ambassadors of the foundation have been awarded funding for their projects in 2024.
