On the eve of Togo's municipal elections, scheduled for July 17, 2025, the commune of Tône 1 has seen the emergence of a candidate with an exemplary profile, embodying both female leadership and solid expertise in local public management.

Gnanlegue Minlekeb, a teacher on secondment and senior technician in local development, is a key figure in the renewal of the local authority under the banner of the Union pour la République (UNIR).

Born on July 23, 1967, married and living in Dapaong, Mrs. Minlekeb has over 30 years of professional and political experience.

With a BTS in local development from the Institut de Recherche et de Formation en Développement Local (IRFODEL), she successfully ran her own private school complex for three decades, creating several hundred jobs and making a tangible contribution to the local economy.

Her political career bears witness to her unwavering commitment to community service. An active member of UNIR, she has held many positions of responsibility, including prefectural women's delegate, regional secretary and election campaign organizer. Her ability to unite and mobilize the population around major electoral issues is unanimously recognized.

Beyond her technical skills, Gnanlegue Minlekeb embodies a clear vision: to promote the place of women in local governance and guarantee transparent, inclusive communal management geared towards sustainable development. "A woman at the head of the commune is a guarantee of proximity, social justice and progress," she asserts with conviction.

Her participation in recent capacity-building workshops for administrative executives, as well as her training in the governance of teacher training colleges, reinforce her ability to effectively manage the communal executive. With her experience in public administration and business management, she is the ideal candidate to carry forward the aspirations of the people of Tône 1.

As the election campaign officially kicks off on July 1, 2025, Gnanlegue Minlekeb embodies the hope of a strong female leadership capable of combining expertise, social commitment and political acumen to transform the commune of Tône 1.
