"Académie Planète Foot du Togo" and "Future Stars Agoe" have also just been recognized by the Ministry of Sports and Leisure as<>, for a period of 4 years. The official approval ceremony for the first managers of the two soccer centers took place on Thursday December 21, 2023 in Lome, in the Ministry's meeting room, in the presence of the Secretary General of the Ministry of Sport and Leisure, Mr Kodjo Dogbéda AGANO, representing the Minister of Sport, Dr Lidi BESSI KAMA.
This recognition follows a long process led by the inter-ministerial committee for the study of approval application files, in accordance with the provisions of decree N°2015-081/ PR- of November 4, 2015, setting the conditions for granting approval to Sports associations and federations and defining the terms of delegation of power to national sports federations in Togo.
This process involved on-site visits to both centers, at their request, to study and evaluate the facilities (infrastructure), sports equipment, technical, administrative, medical and academic supervision, insurance conditions, financing and the quality of the training provided.
Presiding over the ceremony, the Secretary General of the Ministry of Sports, Mr. Kodjo Dogbéda AGANO, who represented the Minister, Dr. Lidi BESSI KAMA, congratulated the promoters of the two award-winning centers, not only for their investment in the training (sports-studies) of Togolese youth, but also for having embraced the policy of reorganizing the sports academy sector, with the aim of improving the future of sport in Togo. He encouraged them and also invited other centers to follow suit, with the aim of joining the new dynamic initiated by the Ministry of Sports and Leisure.
As for Ouro-GAndi Tchagnani, chairman of the interministerial committee responsible for examining applications for approval, who is also in charge of the Ministry of Sports, << the aim is rather to help all structures comply with the texts in force, so that they can be classified in one or other of the three categories A, B and C provided for in the decree.
Total beneficiary satisfaction
HEDJAKPO Kokou Elom, Technical Director of Académie Planète Foot du Togo (APFT), and IBRAHIM Abdul Ramanou, President of Future Stars Agoe (FSA), made no secret of their delight at finally obtaining this precious sesame, crowning their efforts over several years. They also thanked the Minister of Sports and Leisure for the momentum generated and her unfailing determination to improve the existing system.
The Académie Planète Foot du Togo was founded in 1999 and is based in Lomé, more precisely next to the Kegué stadium. It trains young male and female players from the age of 4 up to senior level, and has trained numerous players who are now playing in Europe, Asia, the Americas and Africa. Finally, FS Agoe is one of Togo's most influential training centers. As its name suggests, it is located in the Agoè district of Lomé, in the Cacaveli area, and offers quality training, talented players and a high level of discipline. And let's not forget FSA's commitment to grassroots soccer. FSA took part in the Abidjan International District Tournament (TIDA) to prove its work. The center is also represented in the national youth and women's selections.
