At the Council of Ministers meeting held on January 10, 2025, the Togolese government presented an encouraging assessment of the 2024 reforestation campaign.
This initiative has resulted in the planting of more than 9 million seedlings over an area of 11,544 hectares, as part of the ambitious goal of planting a billion trees by 2030.
This campaign reflects the government's ongoing efforts to promote sustainable management of natural resources and combat the effects of climate change.
At the same time, the Council reiterated other national priorities, notably the strengthening of security and agricultural development, in line with the country's strategic vision. These actions reflect Togo's commitment to combining economic development and environmental protection for a sustainable future.
