The national examination for the Certificat d'études du premier degré (CEPD) officially kicked off nationwide this Tuesday, June 18. A total of 212,407 pupils in the second year of Cours moyen (CM2) are taking part in 1,000 writing centers.
Over the course of three days, students will work on ten subjects to earn the very first diploma of their school career.
In Lomé, where 52,000 candidates are registered, as well as in the interior of the country, delegations of education officials and local authorities toured the examination centers to ensure that the examinations were taking place effectively, and above all to reassure and encourage learners.
As a reminder, the CEPD in Togo opens the doors to secondary school.
