The written tests for the Baccalauréat Second Part (BAC 2) officially kicked off on Monday June 17. A total of 70,880 students, from all séries, are taking part in this exam, which opens the doors to university.
As usual, a government delegation, led by the Minister of Higher Education and Research, toured several writing centers to ensure that the exam got off to a good start, and to encourage candidates.
This 2024 session is also marked by an innovation: the capping of cumulative points for optional subjects. The move, announced a few months ago, is part of the country's preparations for the harmonized Uemoa Baccalauréat, scheduled for 2026.
