Togo reaffirmed its commitment to artificial intelligence (AI) as a vector for development at the Summit for Action on AI, held on February 11 in Paris.

Represented by the Minister of Digital Economy and Digital Transformation, Cina Lawson, the country highlighted the strategic role of AI in key sectors such as education, health, agriculture and social inclusion.

In an exchange with decision-makers, researchers and startups, the Minister emphasized the importance of a structural and sustainable approach to AI, stressing that it must not be a mere conjunctural response. Cina Lawson also hailed the meeting as an essential step towards strengthening AI ecosystems in Africa and empowering former citizens to take up the digital challenge.
