On Monday, February 3, 2025, during the scientific symposium in tribute to General Gnassingbé Eyadéma, the Minister of Higher Education and Research, Mr. Kanka Malik Natchaba, stressed the importance of unity and respect for differences in building a prosperous Togo.
In his speech, he paid tribute to the legacy of the father of the nation, evoking his decisive role in building a stable and developing country.
Mr. Natchaba recalled Eyadema's inspiring words: "A lone blow never stops the fight", urging Togolese to continue the struggle for collective progress. He also praised President Faure Gnassingbé's vision of a reconciled Togo, based on knowledge of history and recognition of the contributions of each individual.
The symposium, which brings together experts and guests from a variety of backgrounds, aims to enlighten younger generations on the legacy of General Eyadéma, while strengthening the link between academic research and the realities of national development.
The Minister concluded by calling for the nation's achievements to be preserved, and for Togo's best interests to be put at the heart of everyone's concerns.
