The campaign for the February 15, 2025 senatorial elections is in full swing. In Kpedomé, in the Haho prefecture, the campaign team of the Union pour la République (Unir) party, led by Komi Selom Klassou, held a meeting on February 10.
At this meeting, Unir presented its titular candidate, , and his deputy, Médéwou Mawuena. The candidate called on municipal and regional councillors to vote for Unir in order to strengthen democracy and stability in the country.
Party activists also stressed the importance of the Senate in the Fifth Republic, underlining its key role in the passage of legislation and the election of the President of the Republic. It should be noted that only municipal and regional councillors make up the electorate for this ballot.
