On January 8, 2025, in Hanoi, Vietnamese President Luong Cuong received Togolese Foreign Minister Robert Dussey to discuss the deepening of bilateral relations between Vietnam and Togo.
The meeting, marking the 50th anniversary of their diplomatic relations, focused on strengthening political trust and cooperation in areas such as trade, investment, agriculture, mining and telecommunications.
The Vietnamese president stressed the importance of coordinating actions in international forums and identifying the economy as a common priority. For his part, Robert Dussey praised the two countries' shared vision of national development, and expressed a desire to learn from Vietnam's experience.
He pledged to strengthen exchanges and promote multi-sector cooperation, particularly in port infrastructure and trade.
