To mark the official launch of the revision of electoral registers for the 2025 municipal elections, the Minister of Territorial Administration, Awaté Hodabalo, embarked on a field tour of the Lacs and Gulf prefectures on Monday April 7. The purpose of the visit was to ensure that operations in the census and voting centers (CRV) got off to a good start, to listen to election officials and to mobilize the population.
Accompanied by the prefects of the two localities, the minister inspected several centers, notably in Kpogan-Agbétsiko, Agbata-Lanzo and Ségbé. He reaffirmed the State's commitment to supporting CENI in the successful organization of the polls, in compliance with article 09 of the electoral code.
This revision concerns citizens who have lost their electoral card, changed residence or reached the age of majority. It will take place in three phases from April 7 to April 23, 2025, in different areas of the country. The Minister urged the population to participate massively in this operation, which is crucial to the exercise of the right to vote.
