As part of the second preliminary round of the African Football Confederation (CAF) Cup, L'Association Sportive des Chauffeurs de Kara (ASCK) beat ASEC MIMOSAS of Côte d'Ivoire on Sunday September 15, 2024 at the Kegué stadium by a score of 2-1.
The Togolese showed their tenacity at home to take the lead in the first leg ahead of next weekend's trip to Abidjan.

After a pressure-free, goalless first 45′, ASCK came back from the locker room with more determination. Les Chauffeurs' captain Antoine Agbetogon opened the scoring in the 56th minute with a magnificent curled shot that surprised Ivorian goalkeeper Ayayi Folly. Three minutes later, a well-orchestrated counter-attack enabled Komlavi Komi to deliver a decisive pass to Akoro Bilali, who scored the second goal in the 59th minute.
Asec Mimosas, though dominated, tried to get back into the game, managing to reduce the score in stoppage time thanks to a goal at 90+3′. Despite the late goal, ASCK won 2-1.
