Togo, through its ambitious "Zero Hunger at School" program, is setting up school canteens to offer hot meals to pupils, thus helping to improve education and nutrition.
Germany's support, worth 11 million euros, aims to optimize this initiative by benefiting 28,000 pupils in the Kara and Savanes regions. Expected results include improved school attendance, increased concentration and positive impacts on local farming communities.
Thanks to this initiative, the aim is to feed 300,000 schoolchildren in the near future, while promoting the growth of the local economy by supplying products to farmers and women's cooperatives.
