In the afternoon of January 09, 2025, the Minister of Sport, Dr. Lidi Bessi-Kama, and the major players in Togolese sport gathered at the Kégué stadium for a ceremony to welcome the year 2025.
It was a symbolic moment to celebrate the successes of 2024 and lay the foundations for new ambitions for 2025.
The President of the Togolese Tennis Federation, Mr. Clément Ahialey, praised the progress made by Togolese sport under the Minister's leadership, while calling for a strengthening of national teams and the spirit of excellence.
Dr Lidi Bessi-Kama gave a positive assessment of the 2024 performances, particularly in tennis, table tennis and e-sport. She also announced increased subsidies and performance contracts for 2025, underlining the government's commitment to the development of sport.
