December 13, 2024, the Martin Luther King Movement (MMLK) addressed a strong rebuke to journalist Serge Daniel, correspondent for RFI and France 24, for his professional excesses.
In a press release, the MMLK accuses it of bias in favor of French interests in West Africa, particularly against the countries of the Alliance of Sahel States (AES).
Serge Daniel is criticized for lacking objectivity, particularly in his analyses of the situation in Burkina Faso and Mali, and for disseminating information disconnected from reality, minimizing progress in these countries. The MMLK also denounces his disparaging language towards the leaders of the AES and their attempt to break with the colonial legacy.
The organization calls for strict respect for journalistic ethics and expresses its support for sovereignist efforts in Africa.
