Elected Miss Literature Togo on February 15, 2025 in Lomé, AKAKPO Cynthia24, is about to represent her country at the grand final of the Miss Literature Africa 2025scheduled for July 26 at the Palais des Congrès in Cotonou.
Currently in her third year of a Bachelor's degree in Lettres Modernes, Cynthia is much more than a lover of words: she's an activist committed to sexual health and the fight against gender-based violence.
"Very determined, she shines in everything, but in literature and eloquence, she's exceptional," say those close to her.
Her attachment to reading is visceral: a passion born naturally and nurtured by authors such as K. TCHASSIM, Sami Tchak, Agatha Christie and Evelyne Mpoudi. She cites the novel "I am the son of everyone who loves me". by Koutchoukalo TCHASSIM as a landmark work in terms of its critical, sociological and historical dimensions.
Through this contest, she's not just looking for a title, but a platform. If she wins, she promises tobe the guardian of books and promote African women's writing. Also an aspiring author, she is already working on a literary short story.
