Colonel Bouwakibé Ali is now head of the Gnassingbé Eyadema International Airport Safety Authority (ASAIGE). He officially took up his post on Wednesday April 9, at a handover ceremony presided over by the Primature's Director of Cabinet, Mr. Etsri Homevor.
Previously commander of the Kara-based Regiment Parachutiste Commando (RPC), Colonel Ali succeeds Dimini Allaharé, recently promoted Chief of General Staff of the Togolese Armed Forces (FAT). His mission: to reinforce ASAIGE's efforts to ensure the safety of passengers, infrastructure, aircraft and goods at Lomé international airport, while ensuring rigorous coordination of security measures.
"All our achievements will be capitalized on, consolidated and put to good use," said the new coordinator, demonstrating his commitment to continuity and efficiency.
For the record, his predecessor had held this strategic position since 2021.
