Togo is actively preparing to take part in the Belgrade World Expo 2027, scheduled to run from May 15 to August 15 in Serbia, under the theme "Let's play for humanity - Sport and music for all".
Represented by its Commissioner General, Alexandre de Souza, the country took part in the first international planning meeting, held in Belgrade until June 12.
This meeting marks the official launch of preparations and enables delegations to define the logistical and technical bases for the event.
In keeping with its tradition of attending major international events, Togo intends to use the occasion to showcase its rich cultural heritage, notably through the Evala struggles, and to affirm its commitment to peace, living together and inclusive development. The Expo, under the aegis of the Bureau International des Expositions (BIE), is expected to bring together more than 120 countries and welcome more than 4 million visitors to celebrate the universal values of sport and music.
