Freed after days in detention, pan-Africanist activist Kémi Séba has taken to social networks to express his views. In a message full of determination, he reaffirmed his commitment to the decolonization of Africa and its diaspora.
"Those who want to extinguish us will have to wait," he said, adding that the arrest had only strengthened his resolve. According to him, this attempt to silence him is proof of the fear his struggle arouses in the French neo-colonial elite.
Kémi Séba also explained his reasons for being in France, saying he had come to visit a sick family member and political opponents in Benin. He took full responsibility for his actions, stressing that fear had never been part of his vocabulary.
The activist thanked his lawyer, the members of his NGO Urgences Panafricaniste, and all those who had rallied to support him. He also sent a message to his detractors, assuring them that his fight was far from over.
