Togo, represented by its Minister of Foreign Affairs, Robert Dussey, has been taking part in the Munich Security Conference (MSC) in Germany since Friday February 16, 2024. This annual event, now in its 60th year, brings together in Bavaria some 200 senior officials, including the elite of geopolitics, diplomacy, defense and security experts, as well as various stakeholders, to discuss international security issues (war and terrorism, among others).

Over two days, a number of topical issues will be discussed, against the backdrop of the Russian-Ukrainian war, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict and the migration crisis.
In recent years, Togo has strengthened its commitment to peace. In 2023, it made a name for itself in the concert of nations, and took initiatives that not only helped to ease tense situations in certain countries of the West African sub-region, but also to maintain peace and cohesion between peoples.

A number of bilateral meetings are also planned. First of all, His Excellency Robert Dussey met with Ms. Amy Pope, Director General of Migration at the United Nations, where they held fruitful discussions on bilateral programs and the 9th Pan-African Congress, which will take place from October 29 to November 2, 2024, in Lomé.
