The new head of the Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene, Professor Tchin DARRE, appointed on August 20, 2024 following a decree signed by the President of the Republic, His Excellency Faure Essozimna GNASSINGBE, officially took office on Thursday August 21. He replaces outgoing Minister Professor Moustafa MIJIYAWA at the head of the department.
The handover ceremony took place at the office of the Ministry of Health and Public Hygiene, in the presence of the Minister, Secretary General of the Government, Christian Trimua.
Professor Tchin DARRE succeeds prof. Moustafa MIJIYAWA. He is Dean of the Faculty of Health Sciences, FSS. He is full professor of anatomy and pathological cytology. He is the author of some 100 scientific publications and several communications.
