Lomé, Saturday, December 7, 2024 - The Ancestral Culture and Tradition Association, a pillar of preservation and the promotion of African cultural values, particularly those of Togoheld its elective general meeting. This landmark event took place in an atmosphere of serenity and responsibility, bringing together the association's members and key players.
After a careful review of the regulatory texts, the members present expressed their confidence by electing Mr Yves BARRIGAH Benissan to the presidency of the association with an overwhelming majority of 53 votes out of 54 . This two-year renewable mandate reflects the determination of the members to give a new impetus to the association.
An ambitious vision
Freshly elected president Yves BARRIGAH shared his joy and unwavering commitment to revitalizing the association's activities. He underlined his ambition to strengthen cultural harmony within the African and Togolese communities, while preserving ancestral cultural riches in the face of contemporary challenges.
"It is with humility and great determination that I accept this responsibility. Together, we will work to make our culture even more radiant, by consolidating our values and harmonizing our traditions", he declared at the end of the meeting.
Support from the Founder and Members
The association's founder, Teko KANKOUE , welcomed the election of the new president, while calling for collective mobilization to ensure the success of future projects. "It's a team effort. With the involvement of all members, the association will continue to prosper," he asserted.
Created on January 20, 2021, the Association Culture et Tradition Ancestrales has a solid structure. Its honorary president, Koffi FOLIKPO , although living abroad, remains a moral and strategic support for the association.
