In a move that marks his commitment to a united and peaceful Togo, Togbui LANKLIVI Neuville Adikou 1er has taken a symbolic and essential step. Under his impetus, a spiritual ceremony of capital importance, recommended by the Fâ last weekend, was held this Tuesday January 14, 2024 in Sagbado, at the home of Togbui Danssou Ketowosso, priest of the Adima divinity. This initiative, imbued with spirituality and tradition, aims to place Togo, its people and its leaders under the protection of the gods and ancestors against the misfortunes and threats facing the country.
During this solemn event, offerings were made and accepted by the deities, ensuring divine protection not only for the entire nation, but also for Togolese soldiers engaged in the fight against terrorist groups in the north of the country. The latter, as well as their supreme leader, the President of the Republic and Commander-in-Chief of the Togolese Armed Forces, Faure Gnassingbé, now benefit from spiritual support in their relentless fight against violent extremism.

This ceremony follows on from the recommendations of the Fâ, consulted on Sunday January 12 at Adakpamé Kpota Colas, on the initiative of Togbui LANKLIVI 1er. The central message of this spiritual consultation, "Yeku Si hloin", called for national unity and collective mobilization against the evils that weaken society: terrorism, traffic accidents, internal divisions and other scourges. Togbui LANKLIVI 1st gave concrete expression to this call for union with this offering to the divinities, a symbolic but decisive step in strengthening the links between visible and invisible forces.
With the intervention of the protective and benevolent Adima divinity, Togo is now under reinforced spiritual cover. This action, deeply rooted in tradition, is part of a drive to preserve peace and national security. Soldiers, on the front line of the challenges facing the north of the country, can count on this alliance between ground and spiritual forces to pursue their mission with greater serenity.
With this strong symbolic gesture, Togbui LANKLIVI 1st reminds us that national cohesion and solidarity, supported by ancestral rites, remain essential pillars for overcoming hardship and building a peaceful future for Togo.
