The President of the Togolese Republic, His Excellency Monsieur
Faure Gnassingbé replaces Colonel Dokissime Gnama Latta as head of Togo's National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC-Togo).

In office since 2007, the former Minister of Security hands over the reins to Lieutenant-Colonel Ahabou Abdou Idrissou.

"Lieutenant-Colonel IDRISSOU Ahabou Abdou, a senior air force officer, is appointed Director General of the Agence Nationale de l'Aviation Civile au Togo (ANAC-Togo)," decreed the President of the Republic on Friday.

Article 2 of the decree states that the new decision by the Head of State repeals decree n°2007-010/PR of February 28, 2007.

Colonel Gnama Latta had played his part to carry ANAC-Togo high.

Togo's National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) received its ISO 9001 version 2015 certification from Bureau Véritas, the auditing agency, on December 12.

"ANAC Togo has demonstrated its ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer requirements and the legal and regulatory requirements of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO)," said Olivier Lederer, General Manager of Bureau Véritas in Togo.

The structure has met the requirements of the quality management system, becoming the first civil aviation agency in Africa to be awarded this certificate.

The Direction de l'Aviation Civile (DAC), now the Agence Nationale de l'Aviation Civile (ANAC), is responsible for organizing, coordinating and harmonizing air transport at national and international level.

It is based in Lomé and controls Lomé international airport.
