The second edition of the Forum of Chairpersons of Foreign Affairs Committees of African Parliaments came to a close in Morocco on Friday, marking a key stage in the dynamic of political cooperation on the continent.
Togo, represented by Germaine Kouméalo Anaté, Chair of the Commission for External Relations and Cooperation, and Patrick Bolouvi, Vice-Chair of the Commission for Defense and Security, took an active part in the discussions.
This inter-parliamentary initiative aims to strengthen African integration in the face of current diplomatic, economic and security challenges. Discussions highlighted the urgent need for greater coordination to meet these common challenges.
The choice of Morocco to host this regular event is not insignificant: the kingdom plays a strategic role in African diplomacy, asserting its position as a hub for inter-state cooperation.
