The prestigious Sofitel Hôtel Ivoire in Abidjan hosted an exceptional Gala Dinner for the official launch of the first Artificial Intelligence Days in Côte d'Ivoire (JIA 2025). This large-scale event, placed under the High Patronage of His Excellency Alassane Dramane Ouattara, President of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, will be held from February 20 to 22, 2025 in Abidjan, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Social Affairs. Nearly 500 participants, including key players in digital transformation, Artificial Intelligence experts, media and influential figures from the academic, political and economic spheres, attended the ceremony, which officially launched the activities of the Artificial Intelligence Days - JIA 2025.

Speaking at the official launch, Dr. Malik Morris MOUZOU, President of CONIIA, World Honorary President of Human AI, Chairman of the International Scientific Committee on AI and Co-Chairman of the JIA 2025 Organizing Committee, emphasized the importance of this event.

"The Artificial Intelligence Days 2025, which will take place from February 20 to 22, 2025 here in Abidjan - and which we are inaugurating this evening - are not simply a meeting. They are a movement, a platform and a promise, in the sense that they will also and above all be an opportunity to contribute to major advances in the implementation of the national AI strategy in Côte d'Ivoire," said Dr. Malik Morris MOUZOU.

According to the President of CONIIA, JIA 2025 is above all a concrete expression of the progressive implementation of the National Artificial Intelligence Strategy orchestrated by Ibrahim Kalil KONATÉ, Minister of Digital Transition and Digitization of the Republic of Côte d'Ivoire, a national strategy that marks the political will of the country's highest authorities to move from Innovation to Action for an "Intelligent and Connected Côte d'Ivoire", with the adoption of AI in all areas of activity.

JIA 2025 aims to be a space for dialogue, contribution and action, bringing together the brightest minds, decision-makers, entrepreneurs, start-ups and all citizens and stakeholders with an interest in the great opportunities offered today by artificial intelligence. Launch of JIA 2025 on the sidelines of the 13th ATDA

This Gala Evening to launch the JIA 2024 is one of the most important Side Events of the 13th Assises de la Transformation Digitale en Afrique (ATDA), which also opened its proceedings earlier this November 20, 2024 at the Radison Blu Hotel in Abidjan, in the Ivorian Republic.
ATDA 2025 was organized around the theme: "Cloud/IA Alliance, what prospects for Africa?".

Fruitful exchanges on important subjects such as artificial intelligence and its applications in all sectors of activity, cloud computing and its role in transforming businesses, cybersecurity and the challenges of data protection and digital inclusion and access for all to information and communication technologies, mobilized the participants in the work of the ATDA 2024 decided to dedicate a special AI Day in Africa.

In their desire to regularly reaffirm the importance of Africa in the global technological landscape, and to work more effectively to ensure that the benefits of AI are shared equitably throughout the world, taking into account African needs, ecosystems, cultures and local communities, In a major collective initiative in line with their aspirations and ambitions, the ATDAs, in consultation with several of the continent's leading AI players, have instituted African Artificial Intelligence Day (AID), to be celebrated across Africa on March 3 each year.
