On Thursday February 6, 2025, a solemn ceremony was held in Pya, marking an exceptional national recognition. The President of the Republic, Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé, elevated Madame Hubertine Badagnaki Gnassingbé to the dignity of Grand Officer of the Order of Mono, one of Togo's highest honors.



This posthumous recognition of the wife of the late Gnassingbé Eyadéma, Father of the Togolese nation, symbolizes the tribute paid to a personality who, discreetly, contributed to the life of the nation. Through her silent commitment and wise counsel to the former Head of State, Madame Hubertine Badagnaki Gnassingbé left her mark on Togolese history.
The ceremony was attended by the highest political, administrative, religious and traditional authorities, as well as numerous members of the presidential family.




Emotion and respect marked the award, which was unanimously applauded by all present. The speakers expressed their congratulations to the recipient and their thanks to the President of the Republic for this tribute, underlining the symbolic force of this act on behalf of the Togolese Republic.
