On Thursday, the coach of Togo's Eperviers unveiled the list of players selected to face South Sudan and DR Congo in Matchdays 3 and 4 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
It's a group that the head of the Sparrowhawks' technical staff has called together for the return leg of the qualifiers for the USA, Canada and Mexico.
The list includes the absence of captain Dakonam Djene, who will be absent for the first match due to accumulated yellow cards. On the other hand, Ihlas Bebou is back after his absence during the March break.
Kodjo Fo Doh Laba, also absent from the March friendlies, returns, while Fessou Placca is absent.
In D1 Lonato, the national first division championship, Coach Duarte calls up goalkeeper Mazamesso Kagbatawouli and his teammate Benjamin Holete from ASCK. He also recalls Wassiou Ouro-Gneni, who now plays in Benin's Ligue 1.
With 2 points on the board, Togo are in 4th position in their group and need to get back on track in these qualifiers. Senegal leads the group with 4 points, tied with Sudan. DR Congo has 3 points, followed by Togo. Mauritania and South Sudan (1 point each) close the table.
Regrouped in Lomé since Tuesday May 28, the Eperviers will play two FIFA 2026 World Cup qualifiers against South Sudan (Wednesday June 5 at Stade de Kegue, 4:00 pm) and DR Congo (Sunday June 9 in Kinshasa, 4:00 pm).
