The Brevet d'Études du Premier Cycle (BEPC) 2025 exam began this Tuesday, June 10, 2025, throughout Togo.
This year, 155,944 candidates are applying for this junior high school diploma.
Among these candidates, girls account for 75,046, or 48.12 % of the total, while boys number 80,898, equivalent to 51.88 %.
A highlight of this year's event is the presence of the youngest candidate, A. Kossi Marcel, aged just 13, born on January 17, 2012. He is a student at CEG TOME and is taking his exam at the CEG Kpadapé writing center, in the Plateaux Ouest DRE.
In contrast, the oldest candidate is Mr. N. Komla, aged 54, born on November 23, 1971, who is running for the CPL Kouvahey Djidjole writing center, in the DRE Grand Lomé.
Finally, among the free candidates, Mr. A. Kossivi, born on December 31, 1967, stands out as the oldest at 58, representing IESG Tsevié.
This exam illustrates the richness and diversity of Togo's educational pathways, bringing together candidates of all ages and backgrounds.
