Congratulations are pouring in for Bassirou Diomaye Faye. While the official results of Senegal's presidential election have yet to be announced, a number of candidates and leading figures in the country's political life are admitting that the Pastef candidate is the winner.

The candidate of the ruling Alliance pour la République called Bassirou Diomaye Faye, the candidate of Ousmane Sonko's ex-Pastef, "to congratulate him and pray for him", according to the Senegalese government spokesman.
