The celebration of Togolese journalism reaches a new milestone with the third edition of the Togo Médias Awardsofficially launched this Saturday, May 10, 2025. An event that is now emblematic of the national media landscape, it returns with a reaffirmed ambition: honor media professionals while placing the inclusion and empowerment of young women and girls at the heart of societal reflection.
Organized in close partnership with Plan International Togothe theme of this year's edition is :
"Media, inclusion and empowerment: creating an enabling environment for young women and girls". A strategic choice that resonates with current issues and positions the media as key players in social change.

Georges Badamasi TchalimChairman of the organizing committee, underlined the major innovations of this year's event: "We have redesigned the entry procedures in close collaboration with Plan International Togo. The number of prizes has been increased to 12 this year, and we are expecting a significant mobilization of industry professionals."
Applications are now open on the official website www.togomedias.orgThere will be a 72-hour catch-up period for latecomers. Voting will take place via the Klumerfor a symbolic contribution of 200 CFA francs by vote. The scheme is designed to stimulate civic engagement while rewarding high-quality journalistic productions.
For Célestine Awidinaproject coordinator Girls Lead At Plan International Togo, the stakes are clear: "The media have a crucial role to play in promoting girls' rights. Our 2024-2028 strategy aims to place them at the center of public debate."

As an emblematic figure, the 2025 edition has a choice ambassador: Pascal Tampo Kolanibetter known as VDP Togo. This young influencer said he was "honored to carry the messages of the event" and intends to be a real relay between the organizers and the public to ensure widespread mobilization around the values of equality and inclusion.
