Togo is strengthening its commitment to sustainable development with the launch on February 28, 2025 of two major projects designed to combat the effects of climate change. Funded to the tune of $5.7 million by the South Korean government, this ambitious program is being implemented in collaboration with the Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI).
The first project aims to modernize rural infrastructures and promote the green economy, notably through the installation of solar modules, post-harvest systems and drinking water infrastructures.
The second focuses on the sustainable management of forest resources, in particular shea, with a strong emphasis on involving women and young people.
These initiatives add to Togo's efforts in reforestation, energy transition and sustainable mobility, confirming its ambition to build a more resilient, inclusive and environmentally-friendly society.
