In accordance with the legal provisions relating to Decentralization and Local Freedoms in the Togolese Republic, the local elected representatives of the Golfe 7 commune met today, Monday January 08, 2024, the first Monday in January, to take part in the work that will shape the future of the commune.
The opening ceremony was graced by the presence of the Secretary General of the Gulf Prefecture, representing the Prefect, Mr DJAGBAVI Lébénin. Also present were the three Deputy Mayors, Messrs SIAKOU Komlan (1st Deputy), AGBEYIBOR Komlanvi (2nd Deputy) and KOVE Kossi (3rd Deputy), other local elected officials, and the commune's Secretary General, Mr DEGBEY Kodzo.
Opening the proceedings, the Mayor, Mr Aimé Koffi DJIKOUNOU, extended his best wishes to all the members of the Communal Council. He also thanked God for his protection and benevolence over the past year, praying that the new year would be filled with his blessings.
The Representative of the Préfet du Golfe wished everyone happiness, peace, forgiveness and tolerance, encouraging synergy and social harmony within the commune of Golfe 7 for the greater good of all.
After the opening ceremony, the amendment and adoption of the minutes of the previous session and the program for this first session will also be discussed.
This meeting will enable local elected officials to work hand in hand to shape a better future. With strategic discussions and key decisions, we can expect significant progress in community development and living conditions.
With these objectives in mind, the Distinguished Municipal Councillors are determined to meet the challenges and seize the opportunities that lie ahead to make Le Golfe 7 a more dynamic and prosperous Commune.
